The Application Process

The application consists of three components:

  • Student Application Form to be completed by the student.
  • Parent/Guardian Recommendation Form to be completed by one of the student’s parents/guardians.
  • Teacher/School Counselor Recommendation Forms to be completed by the student’s high school counselor and two teachers.

All forms and supporting materials must be submitted online in English.

All three components must be submitted in order for an applicant to be considered for admission.

Application Deadline and Decision Timeline

  • The application deadline for the 2026 cohort is May 29, 2026 at 11:59PM US ET.
  • We plan to notify applicants of results by June 30, 2026.
  • Application and recommendation responses will remain confidential and will be used for internal review and evaluation purposes only. Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, SSP is offered to accepted students 100% free of charge.

While there are no formal age cutoffs for SSP, you must be able to discuss complex math and science topics at a deep level. Students who plan to take a gap year after high school are eligible to partake in SSP during their gap year.

A typical internship runs 4–8 to weeks.
